Technical Assistant Maternity Leave Cover

Job Reference: 19 – TA – 13

Contractual hours of Work:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday - 08.00 am to 16.30 pm

Reporting to the Technical Manager some of the main responsibilities will include:


• Implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of HACCP based quality system
• Ensure continued approvals BRC, Red Tractor, Bord Bia are achieved and food quality, safety standards are consistently met
• Working with customers/statutory bodies, implementation of legislation and customer standards
• Proficient in use of retailer online specification systems
• Participate in customer audits


The successful candidate will ideally:


• Have a 3rd level qualification in a discipline relevant to food production or food safety
• Computer Literate
• Mathematically skilled
• Excellent attention to detail
• Have 3 years experience in a food production operation
• Be able to demonstrate competence and improvement of a documented quality system to BRC Grade A standard
• Good problem solving skills
• Be efficient at working on one’s own initiative
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with the enthusiasm for achieving targets and objectives
